Are men really interested? Or does it take the 
Female Twin to awaken her Male Twin? 
Is the man's lack of awareness simply 
masculine intellectualism confronting
 feminine intuition?

These questions and my own personal experience caused me to wonder if in the final stages of Twin Soul reunion the man might need the final push for recognition from his female Twin. I know I did.

Commonly, women are more spiritually inclined than men. So it is little wonder that most of the visitors to "The Voice" who actually contact us with questions by email are  women who have a deeper understanding or intuitive feel for when they have meet their Twin Soul. I sometimes wonder what we men have to bring to this Twin Soul reunion when it seems we are usually the last to recognize the obvious.

The Male Twin Soul

As the male half of "Melvyn Caryl" I feel the love that draws Twin Souls together, yet understand very little of it on an intellectual level. This is the main problem with most men--they approach love from the opposite direction than the female. And this is also why both must be spiritually advanced toward an inner male/female balance to even begin to understand or feel the Twin Soul connection, and how it differs from other more common male/female attractions.

It is for this reason I feel in most cases, not all, the male Twin Soul must be awakened to this new reality by the female Twin Soul when they meet in this realm of the physical. Deep within our psyche we all know our Twin Soul, but for the male this knowing seems to be more deeply buried than with the female.

Awakening the Male Twin Soul

How do you do this? I thought I would relate the Melvyn Caryl experience from the male perspective to give you some ideas of how Caryl accomplished this. If you have read, "Who is Melvyn Caryl?" you will note that this was from Caryl's perspective. As with many things, "there are two sides to every story," and this one is mine. Perhaps it will help you female Twins awaken your Twin to the reality of what is.

A statement of caution is necessary here. We are speaking in generalities. It is possible for the male to be the one to recognize this twin first, but here we are speaking of that which is most common. If in your situation the roles are reversed the same solutions apply. 

The Spiritual Awakening

I am convinced that a spiritual awakening must come first, for the Twin Soul reality does not come from just physical attractions. For me, my spiritual awakening came a year before I met Caryl who I later discovered was my Twin. Let us here speak for just a moment concerning what we mean by a spiritual awakening.

Throughout our lives, it can be that we have many spiritual awakenings—like a steady climb up the side of a huge mountain, each level of attainment brings its awakening. Each one builds upon the progress reached from the one before. Caryl sought a spiritual path early in life, began to climb that mountain and continued to study and apply the principals she learned. Along that path were many memorable peaks, or awakenings. One of major importance happened in 1978. I think it is significant that she made a new discovery which again inspired a new awakening a few years before my awakening, and was therefore in a position to become my spiritual mentor.

Note two things: 1) We both discovered the same spiritual study. I am not so sure it would have happened had we followed different paths to spiritual enlightenment. Possible, but not very probable, and 2) This was not a  religious experience of the “Born Again" kind. It is my observation that such conversions tend to bind one to dogmas or denomination, rather that free the mind for further expansion and exploration.

For me this spiritual awakening came during an especially dark period of my life. I hit bottom emotionally and spiritually in what some call the "Dark Night of the Soul." I was far from reverent in seeking God's help, rather, I blamed "Him" (for at this time I couldn't begin to conceive of a Female Mother God) for what I saw at the time as the lousy hand I'd been dealt in this life.

I was ranting and raving against God to a friend who tolerated my emotional outburst. When I was finished, he said, "I have a book for you to read."

I had been reading and writing my own novels for three years, so I welcomed something that would take my mind off my perceived problems. But when I looked at the title and saw that it was a spiritual book…

"Come on, man!" I felt like saying, but didn't. Instead I gave him a look that said, "Haven't you been listening? God is the problem not the answer!” Such was the way I felt in November, 1999.

"Go ahead, just read the first twenty-five pages," my friend said. "If you still don't like it, give it back."

Well, I could handle 25 pages without being moved. So I thought. But it did move me at a much deeper level than I had ever been moved before, and I couldn't put it down. It spoke of a God of unconditional love, love without expectations and exceptions. I was burdened by guilt and depression, and I found for once something to be non-judgmental and gave the understanding that all things happen according to a plan that we create not only in this life but in the before-life.

This was radically different from the "Hellfire and Brimstone" bible thumping world of my youth. I wanted to meet some of these "New Agers" (or whatever they called themselves) and see for myself.

So our twin soul reunion started with a spiritual awakening. I now know that this missing piece in my life was the largest of the last hurdles of my Soul Development that would prepare me in readiness for something I didn't even yet know about---the Twin Soul reunion.

The Feminine Lead

So a Spiritual Awakening I believe is necessary for both Twins as well as a desire to meet others who are like-minded. This attraction begins in the feminine Crown Chakra of your God Centeredness, not in the Root Chakra of physical desires. How does a man get to the point where he unconsciously starts approaching things from the feminine perspective? He must have reached the male/ female inner balance of a bi-gendered individual. He must let his inner feminine self (his inner Twin) lead him.

This seeking of others for companionship on a Crown Chakra (God Centeredness) level is more a "feminine thing." That is why most of our visitors to "The Voice" are women. That is also the purpose of the Zeb & Zarna Mission .  Though love, bringing people together.

Could it be that other women may follow Caryl's example and lead their Twins to a Spiritual Awakening? I believe this is not only possible, but likely. But the man must be willing to be led to spiritual challenges.

A Man Who is Willing To Be Led

Caryl was my spiritual mentor, and when she was led into my life, I was ready to accept her gentle guidance. So, I feel qualified to advise women readers to study the Zeb & Zarna’s teachings and slowly awaken your Twin to the Twin Soul spiritual philosophy. The meeting of spiritual minds usually occurs before the meeting of spiritual bodies. Yet, a woman cannot lead a man until he has reached very near his feminine/masculine bi-gender balance. See Glossary Signs of this achievement are that he can feel and express emotion within balance without shame.

Was It Easy?

Was it easy for Caryl to lead me? Heck no! I was so wrapped up in my male ego that we metaphorically fought like cats and dogs. I still have chunks missing from my posterior, and I'm sure Caryl still has a few lumps on her head. Twin Souls reunion is not always easy. In fact from our experience and the stories of many others, the early stages are often turbulent. This is due to the fact that in the Twin Soul relationship the twins are complementary opposites and struggle to find the balance of equity. Not within themselves but between each other.

The Twin Soul relationship is far more fiery and intimate than most conventional relationships for it begins at the God Centeredness level (Crown Chakra) of both partners. There is much giving and taking before two physically reunited twins reach the equity balance as you individually reach inner bi-gender balance. In other words, there is both an inner and outer, a spiritual and a physical balance involved with the Twin Soul relationships. There is no dominant half to a Twin Soul union. Both are equal and will fight it out until they discover their complementary strengths and learn to work together.

If you can't stand the heat of the "Twin Soul Kitchen" don't try cooking up the "Twin Soul Brew." You both must “stick it out” and make adjustments--not only with each other, but also with other bonded relationships that the Twins may want to retain in cooperation and union.

The path of physical Twin Soul reunion is paved with bumps and potholes as a test to our mettle. Getting past them is one way we balance our talents with that of our Twin’s.

I Thought I Didn't Have To Do Anything to Meet My Twin Soul

To an extent this is true. The Soul Development we all must experience is an inner reality and when we have reached Bi-gendered balance, the forces of "Like Attracts Like" move. The two will be brought together, but it is up to them to make it work or not. We have come to the conclusion, based on early ZZ instruction (that we really didn’t understand until we experienced these clashes ourselves) and from listening to others, that the final few steps must be initiated on our own. There is an inner awareness within all of us from the before-life of our Twin. When we meet him or her in this life--something "clicks" most often within the female half.

It is at this point I believe she may help her Twin make the final step to awareness. Men just don't "get it" right away. Why? Well, perhaps we are not always the ones known to be swift on the uptake. Unfortunately, men tend to be a little stubborn. Most approach spirituality from the intellect, rather than feminine intuition, heart, or gut feelings.

This is why it is said, “You gotta be out of your mind to believe in God!”  That is because God is not understood through the masculine intellect. God awareness comes from the heart. All one gets with the precious male intellect is what others such as Aristotle, Plato, and ancient religious texts--beliefs obscured by time and translation, and new psychological philosophy, have taught. This course alone elevates the mind over the heart. This is the natural course taken by the masculine aspect without the balance of the feminine.

So a gentle feminine push may be called for. There is little point in telling him straight out, "You are my Twin Soul." Too abrupt. Of course, there comes a time when that frying pan over the head might be the only approach! But the feminine gender is smarter than that. If he shows any interest in spiritual subjects, perhaps a gift of your favorite book--something on Twin Souls. See our References List.

Going With The Feminine Flow

This progression you will notice is following the feminine flow of life force energy'(Kundalini). It begins in the Crown Chakra, proceeds downward through the Brow and Throat Chakras to the Heart where you will find Love. Beyond Love with your Spiritual Mate you will find a sense of self assurance (Solar Plexus Chakra) where he or she makes you feel warm, loved and self assured. From there it progresses to the physical (sexual) Chakras of the Sacral and Root  Chakras. This is the course of spiritual union with all spiritual Soul Mate relationships—not just Twin Souls. If the man is sensitive and caring (bi-gendered balanced) he will follow your lead and enjoy every step.
 
A Final Word (For Now)

Once both you and your Twin discover Who You Are individually, and What You Are together (Twin Souls) then use your time together to strengthen those ties. It won't always be easy, nor will the way be smooth. But I believe that our relationships are tempered (strengthened) by adversity rather than when things go perfectly without a flaw. That is a fact of the life you create. We are here to experience and grow. We don't learn when the lessons are easy.

You have been given valuable "tools" here for developing any spiritual relationship--even for making your present relationship better. What most seek when they say they want to meet their Twin Soul or Soul Mate, is someone who is caring, loving, sensitive to their needs and respectful of their individuality (ie., a Spiritual relationship). There are many Companion Souls and Near Twins who you may meet and feel total fulfillment. Don't expect that your Twin Soul is always incarnated at the same time you are or that he has reached the stage of Soul Development where he is ready for his reunion with you. Rather than going without Love, enjoy the other ones God provides for you—Soul Mate relationships with Near Twins and Companion Mates.
