Dear
Friends:
There
was a brief mention of earth-bound spirits in ZZ Message
#65,"What Happens When We Die?". And you know me,
(Caryl) the one with the "Inquiring Mind". I had to find
out more about that. So I asked, and Zeb's responded. The
following
clip came from

Caryl, you were also interested in
what happens to earth-bound souls who refuse to crossover when
their time comes. As we have said before, their free will is what
keeps them bound and usually it relates to some unfinished
business or concern for those they will leave behind.
But you must realize that what seems like a long time where you
are, say four of your earth generations, is really nothing here.
You spend far more time on this side than you
do there. This is an important consideration. The span of one
century--say from your Twentieth to your Twenty-first Century--has
two to three life spans or generations. Think for a moment how
many changes have occurred in your world since 1900.
Unfinished business tends to resolve itself in time without the
help of those disengaged earth-bound souls. And add to that their
frustration in not being able to directly influence the outcome of
anything physical. All they can do is observe. In their
earth-bound state they become lonely and frustrated with no one
they can talk to but their Spirit Guides who try to convince them
to cross over.
When their loved ones reach their times to cross over and leave
the physical realms they are even more frustrated and lonely and
as a result more easily convinced to come "Home."
Remember, they are staying there by their own choice. They
are not forced to stay.
As you can see, in three or four generations it is rather easy to
convince an earth-bound soul to cross over. All their loved ones
are safely on our side,
preceding them and all their familiar "haunts" (poor
pun) have changed.
Eventually all souls cross over, yet some have become so connected
to observing the shifting tides of human life and technology they
have become addicted in a scholarly way to earth life. Yet, even
life becomes boring when you have to experience it in "real
time" moment by moment, day by day. It is only on this
side that you can "fast forward" or create an
"instant replay" of something you wish to experience, or
re-experience.
We have not spoken much about this ability yet for there has been
little applicability to this and your (Melvyn Caryl's) current
mission, but don't think for a moment that once you are on this
side (the Otherside) that you can't come back to Earth for a
visit-- you can and do with frequency you and your loved ones
desire, for you can make your presence felt in subtle ways.
You do not sit idly around on clouds strumming a harp or ukulele.
You have better things to do with your life-- and you are
alive. Being reunited with your Composite Soul does not mean
your identity and individuality, your freedom is dissolved into
one or that you are bound here forever. You are always free to
travel and return home in an instant. You can go places and see
things that are to happen, are happening, or have happened. You
can even go to the place of Living Memories which serves us
much like your movies for education and entertainment.
So, while in some respects an earth-bound soul does delay the
progression of the Composite Soul, what is time where time doesn't
exist? And don't forget the beneficial element of experience
through observing. The time a soul spends earth-bound is not
always lost.
This is not a condition that is to be
feared. It is not something that happens to you against your will,
nor is it to be pitied. Staying there--earth-bound--is by choice.
It is only limiting in the sense that the soul is not rejoined
immediately by all their spiritual family and they choose to exist
in a realm where their presence for the most part is not felt.
On this side (spirit realm) you are just as
"real," if not more so, than you are where you are now.
You do not lose anything by completing the transition to the
Otherside. Earth-bound souls are but one type of entity that
inhabits your dimension--one of many that physical eyes cannot
see. Others are casual
visitors from other places and other times who travel there
regularly. In some cases, that is their reality. These are the
multidimensional travelers.

For now, this concludes the series on
"What Happens When We Die?". There will be more,
especially about multidimensional travelers and realities in
another message we intend to post soon. We hope this series has
given a positive picture of our transition between life in the
spirit realm and our life in the physical. Death is not the end,
but the next progressive phase of our life--a life richer for its
continued experience as we journey nearer and nearer the Source.
Always,
with love and blessings,
Melvyn
