I know
that young men have their own struggles with self-reliance and
need support. I give it gladly. We live in a hard world in
difficult time. But since women have been suppressed for several
thousand of years, our biggest problem that should be tackled
first worldwide is the acceptance of women as equals. This can not
fully happen until women take their place in society having
achieved an adequate share of self-reliance and personal
sovereignty. Practical tips on how to achieve this is the subject
of the chapter on Self Love in our soon to be released e-book,
“The Power of Love.” We will only touch on the subject here.
I
mention this because most women at this time who incarnate into a
western society have a life theme that includes working toward
self-reliance. This does not mean a lifetime living alone, but it
does mean taking care of yourself and possibly, if you are a
single mother, any children you may have and making your own way.
Caryl’s Views on Marriage
Some
have accused me of being against marriage. I am not. I am against
any relationship bonds that restrict one’s freedom to
experience--the freedom to be and experience all that you can be,
all that you want to be, whether you are a man or a woman.
Sometimes this is hard to achieve within a relationship.
On the
other hand, a good relationship can actually make the learning
process easier if there is support between partners in whatever
they choose to pursue. If you are in a relationship that is based
on spiritual principles where together you create an environment
that is conducive to spiritual growth this relationship is a
spiritual refuge.
So I am
not against marriage. I simply believe that often marriage is
entered into when “clear thinking” is masked by physical needs. In
some cultures young marriages are encouraged when neither partner
is ready. The result is lifetime obligations that are not good for
either one of them with little recourse but to live with it.
Here is
a quote from Zarna that appears in the Power of Love e-book soon
to be released.
"Your mate is not
yours. Each
individual has their own charted destiny, will and desires.
Spiritual unions are for providing safe havens for soul
development. This can not occur in an atmosphere of restriction.
Embracing the Power of Love provides an environment of freedom for
those you love. God gives you free will. Why would you control the
will of another? This
completes the foundation cycle of the Twin Soul Spirituality or "The Goddess Principle."
Because
young people come to me with these issues, I began wondering just
what it was like in ancient times. I wanted to know what it was
like for women during the time of the Moon Temple in ancient
Egypt. I wondered how much we have changed. Were we set on the
same path of self-sovereignty then as we are now?
How Mel and I Work Together
Mel and
I work together and whatever topic of interest has been recently
brought to our awareness is usually put on our running list of
questions to ask during the next formal channeling. With the topic
we are now discussing, I did not wait for the next channeling with
Mel but went straight to Teenot—my former self from thousands of
years ago—Maythr’s feminine counterpart.
Sometimes our [mine and Mel’s] awareness as channelers is not as
you might think. Where it is true that Mel’s channel is very
direct and any question can be asked, sometimes there are
questions that we do not think to ask.
Zeb and Zarna rarely preach, but rather instruct on those things
that are unclear to us. Within the course of any of the channeling
sessions if they (Zeb and Zarna) feel that our grasp of the topic
being discussed is lacking they do not hesitate to “set us
straight.”
But
sometimes an awareness of a reality comes in bits and pieces, not
through channeling during a formal session but in a sense of
knowing. I am sure this awareness is brought to me by those who I
can and have channeled, by getting through to me in other ways
that I am not consciously aware of at that moment.
Focus of the
Website and why it is so Important
If you
have read the content on this site you know that the information
is focused toward spiritual maturity, and what Twin Souls are
really all about. Along with this we try to impress upon all who
ask the importance of embracing your natural talents and working
toward your personal sovereignty whether you are male or female.
For the feminine gender an intuitive ability and inner connection
is more natural to you. Strengthening your masculine aspect will
most likely be your goal to work toward in this life. For men, it
is just the opposite. They must strengthen their ability to go
within and use their intuitive nature which is harder for them to
access.
I know
you have heard me mention time an again the importance of the
feminine gender taking their rightful place in society. But in
our world it is difficult because of thousands of years of
masculine domination. If you look at the countries in our world
where there is the greatest strife and economic deprivation, you
will find women who are bound by cultural restrictions. This
keeps that society repressed although they probably would not see
this as the cause.
“Humanity” cannot expect any group in society to flourish when
fifty percent of its creative resources are restricted.
I use
the word “Humanity” because its root is “humane.” You can be of
the human species and not have achieved a level of humanity. A
humane attitude requires a mindset of compassion and understanding
that is beyond just being a member of the human species.
So, I
hear you saying, what does this have to do with helping young
people stay on their charted path?
There
are imbalances within any culture. An imbalance between the
masculine and feminine in either direction produces unfortunate
results. So I thought it would be interesting to have a
perspective from Teenot and Maythr about gender relationships in
that ancient time, (not as taught by our social scientists today
but from the viewpoint of those who lived it.) This was before
pressures began to change the goddess culture into practices that
were far from what the Akanars taught at the Moon Temple.
From Teenot’s Perspective
Teenot
was High Priestess and Maythr was High Priest at the time of the
Valley of the Moon Temple. Thousands of years ago this culture
related to women very differently. Women were often sheltered and
cared for, but sheltered because they were valued not to hide them
away. As women, there was less need for them to prove themselves
or their abilities. Women were accepted and respected for what
they were--the mothers and producers of the next generation—the
creative source of the community. According to Maythr, living
conditions were very primitive and women and men performed tasks
that we would call today, “gender appropriate.”
Respect of the Genders
Women’s
intuitive nature and abilities of inner-sight were admired and
called upon to help guide the family and community. Men’s
intellect and physical strength were respected. Together men and
women stood side by side, each knowing that physical life without
the other would be difficult. This was the norm, until zealots of
the One God faction, desiring total control and power, wished to
destroy this balance.
Unlike
today, women did not have to complete with men, nor did they have
to be approved by men. Each gender was approved by all. In these
primitive times, it was understood that only by working together
could the community survive. These were harsh times when there was
little defense against the elements. Survival hung on mutual
respect.
Life at the Temple
I also
asked Teenot to describe her time at the Temple of the Valley of
the Moon and learned that she was the leader of the Temple and the
administrator of its activities.
This
Temple was not a convent of just women. It was “pre-isian.” In
other words, what was taught there was the precursor to the Isis
worship that came later. The temple was open to both genders and
no one was ever turned away. Men functioned as Guardians and
roles more fitting to their strength and gender. The Temple served
as the community center of bustling activity. Healing and
teaching of the children was a major function of the Goddesses at
the Temple even though the community had a shaman healing class
that functioned separately. One of our present-day ZZ Healing
group members is such a shaman in the community near the temple.
One of
the roles of the Temple was to function similar to orphanages of
our past generations. When children were without parents they were
often taken into the Temple.
The
temple was self-sustaining and provided for the needs of hundreds
of people who lived within its compound. It also provided many of
the needs for the community—like clean water. It was a huge
operation that was ran and managed primarily by one woman, Teenot.
Did she
get help?
Absolutely.
The Temple Guardians and Priests helped with the administration of
the temple. There were four Orders of the Temple Guards, just as
there were Four Orders of the Goddesses. They were run separately.
And living quarters for men and women were also separate.
The
vision I was given of this time was of women who were very
confident of themselves and their place in society. They did not
need to complete with men as so many women try to do in this age.
This
was especially true of the Goddesses who lived in the temple. It
should be made clear, if I have not already made it so, that life
during this time was difficult for most. According to Maythr, only
the very privileged held title to land. Life for many was a
struggle; however, as a whole in this early time women were seen
differently than in our recent past. In patriarchal societies,
where the men controlled the women, women were often considered
possessions and in many cultures ranked little more than their
animals. Unfortunately, in some places this attitude still exists.
So in
comparing the present western society to the time of the Moon
Temple we have some real opposites.
Each
woman today has charted a personal course towards balance. This
charted plan is part of the evolutionary divine plan that is
destined to make us a “humane” race of true equality and balance.
As
spiritually evolved men and women we still have much to
accomplish. The young adults of today will encounter situations
that will require them to face the challenges of making a living,
taking care of their children, and standing up for women’s rights
as equal citizens of our society. It will not be easy, especially
for those who are destined to challenge the authority of
Patriarchal control. I am speaking here of both males and females.
But
this equality must be earned. Often there is a series of hard
lessons and even “handicaps that we have placed in our paths to
strengthen our will.
Life is
not easy for those who have decided to incarnate at this time. I
have two daughters, each facing their quest for independence in a
different way. If you knew them you would think of them as
completely opposite. And they are in some respects. However, they
have charted to overcome the same hurdles but they are approaching
it in different ways.
So my
loving young friends do not despair. You are not alone. And you
are not without guidance when it comes to making your choices. You
must be courageous, diligent. Persevere and you will succeed.
With
love, Always,
